First Noble Numbat test rebuild
Graham Inggs reports the first test rebuild of Ubuntu Noble Numbat started on 15 December 2023 for all architectures, and is still running for universe and multiverse for s390x and riscv64. This post gives links to some results (of issues), with a request to help fix these. Also covered is a test rebuilt using GCC 14, which is being done in preparation for work that will take place in the 24.10 cycle.

discontinuing source ISOs?
Michael Hudson-Doyle reminds us the building of source ISOs is broken, and makes a suggestion that instead of fixing the issue, the source ISO builds to be discontinued. This post is a start of a thread discussing this.

Red Hat Evaluating x86-64-v3 Requirement For RHEL 10
Michael Larabel writes that further to Canonical exploring Ubuntu x86-64-v3 builds, Red Hat too is now exploring this as a requirement for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. We're told RHEL 9 requires x86-64-v2 now. Michael gives a brief discussion on what V3 will provide, and what hardware will or won't support it.
